Dr. Charles Mutai

Dr. Charles Mutai is a climate and environment professional passionate about building resilient and sustainable economies. He has worked at an intergovernmental institution coordinating environment and natural resources and climate change programs for the 47 county governments in Kenya. He has actively been engaged in the design, monitoring, and reviewing of policies related to climate change, environment and natural resources in Kenya. Dr. Charles Mutai also worked with international organisations and national governments ministries to provide technical assistance and capacity building of sub-national entities in taking up environment functions through establishing strategic partnerships and collaboration, while contributing to sustainable development pathways. He is also a self-motivated development professional, with robust experience in project and team management, as well as research and advisory based work in reducing short lived climate pollutants and sustainable development.
