COP 27 will take place between the 6-18th of November, 2022, in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Countries from all over the world will come together to take action towards achieving the world’s collective climate goals as agreed under the Paris Agreement and the Convention.
The theme of this COP is ‘Together for implementation’. It has been billed as an ‘African COP’ as the impact of climate change on African countries’ will be a key theme of discussions.
Governments and industry leaders will also engage on their commitment to further essential advances in reducing short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) that have a global warming potential many times that of the main greenhouse gas carbon dioxide.
The first lady of the republic of Kenya, Her Excellency Rachel Ruto, together with other Kenyan delegates will be in attendance.
